There are clearances between the two screws and the pump housing, so the pump operation can be smooth and with a low noise and free of lubricant in the pump chamber. The dry screw pump can be used to pump the gases that contain a mass of vapor and a small quantity of particles. The screw pump with varying pitch structure has lower ultimate pressure and power consumption compare with that of constant pitch structure.
